Dear Mom how’s your garden growing?
What’s new, how’s my crazy brother doing?
Thanks for the salt crackers and sardines next time send some beer

I know you’re scared sometimes
I get scared too
But I’ll do what I signed up for and pray I make it back to you
It ain’t all like the news
I’m getting by alright over here

Ch: I wake up and work my shift
They got church and a gym
We talk girls cars and basketball
Watch tv, take out the trash
Do my laundry stuff like that
Kinda like normal life
But with bombs going off

Momma, in between the missiles and the mortars
Half the fight is fighting off the boredom
But I heard we’re gonna get
To make a call back home most any day
Yeh there’s not enough ink and paper
To tell you just how much I miss ya
So I’m biding my time in the meantime trying anyway
CH: I wake up and work my shift
They got church and a gym
We talk girls cars and basketball
Watch tv , take out the trash
Do my laundry stuff like that
Kinda like normal life
But with bombs going off

First time it happened
I felt the shock waves in my chest
Momma can you imagine
Me getting use to this?

CH(half):
I wake up and work my shift
They got church and a gym
Kinda like normal life
But with bombs going off

Dear Mom how’s your garden growing?
Hang on we’ll be hanging out
Before you know it
